Boat Hire

Hire Boat are available from Cape York Ice and Tackle.

14ft Stessco Boats.

We have 2 x 14ft Stessco Boats which are fitted with 30hp four stroke outboard motors. They are both fully carpeted with front and rear casting platforms, VHF marine radio, Navman sounder, live bait tank and rod holders. We can give you the option of a fixed canopy which is removable should you require for fly fishing. All boats are provided with fuel, maps, safety equipment and first aid box.

These are a great set up and are licensed for four people but we do suggest for comfort 2 people per boat, depending on weight.

18ft Centre Console

We have 1 x 18ft Centre Console Cairns Custom Craft. It is fitted with a 60hp four stroke Yamaha Bigfoot, live bait tank, Navman sounder, chart plotter, fully carpeted with casting platform, bait board, VHF marine radio, maps, safety equipment dry box and free standing canopy.

This is the perfect blue water vessel which is licensed for 6 people but we suggest 4 people for comfort.

Boat prices include one tank of fuel daily, are fully washed daily, include maps or the area, ice and esky. VHF Marine radios are monitored at Cape York Ice and Tackle 7 days per week.

In either boat you can explore from the Jardine River to Peak Point and surrounding islands. The 14fts are also allowed to explore the Jacky Jacky River system where the 18ft is restricted to blue water.

A current boat license is required to operate the boats and an imprint of a credit card is held as a deposit. Operation time is 6.30am to 5.30pm depending on the time of the year and day light.
